Tryout Information

TRYOUTS ARE COMING FOR THE 24-25 SEASON!

PARENT MEETINGS FOR EACH AGE GROUP WILL BE HELD EACH NIGHT AFTER CHECK IN COMPLETE!

Items Needed for Tryout Night

  1. Tryout fee - cash or check made payable to "Essex Volleyball Club"  $75
  2. USAV Medical Release Form (see below)
  3. USAV Proof of Membership (see below): 
    1. RETURNING CLUB PLAYERS- Your membership from this past season is good til September 1st.  PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR GEVA COMPETITION MEMBERSHIP CARD from the 2023-2024 season. There is no need to purchase any new memberships for tryouts at this time.
    2. NEW CLUB PLAYERS- This is for girls that were NOT on a club team during the 2023-24 year. You must purchase either one of the following:
      1. Tryout membership- This is a restricted membership covering tryouts only and will be available for purchase July 15th and will become active on August 11th.  Proof of purchase is required night of tryouts. 
      2.  24-25 GEVA Summer Junior Player membership is available now.  This membership is good through October 31st and allows participation in tryouts, camps and clinics BUT is not upgradeable to a full season membership which will be needed should your daughter make a club team.  This is the more expensive option.

Before Tryout Night

You must do all of the following

  1. Register for our tryout by using the Google Form Located on our website
  2. Register for a GEVA Membership – Click here to begin GEVA Registration
  3. Print and complete the Junior Medical Form (above) 
  4. Print out the membership confirmation registration form and card – they will be needed for tryouts

Membership to GEVA cannot be completed at the door. You MUST pre-register.

Does my daughter need to attend both tryout sessions for her age group?

While we encourage the athlete to attend both sessions, we know that this is a busy time with other clubs holding tryouts as well so if the athlete can only attend one night that is fine. 

Walk in's will be welcome at the door every night.
